What are the vaccine and spay/neutered requirements for dog boarding?
All puppies must be up to date on their puppy vaccines. All adults must be up to date on Rabies/Distemper/Lepto/Parvo and Bordetella. Any dog not spayed/neutered by the age of 6m will be assigned as family only or solo turnout if displaying dominant behaviors. All intact females cannot be actively in heat or showing signs of going into heat.
What is the daily schedule like?
7:00 am: First potty breaks occur. As dogs come inside from going potty they are fed breakfast.
7:30 am - 11:00 am: Outdoor play rotation every 30-45min
10:30 am - 12:00 pm: Enrichment activities, exit baths, sniffaris, nail trims, lunches, road trip to daycare.
Outdoor potty rotation continues for those not participating in additional boarding services.
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: More outdoor play!!
1:00 pm: Nap time
5:00pm to 530 pm: Dogs who went to daycare return
5:30 pm: First potty breaks occur. As dogs come inside from going potty they are fed dinner.
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm: Outdoor play rotation every 30-45min
6:30 - 7:00 pm: Enrichment activities, exit baths, sniffaris, nail trims
Outdoor potty rotation continues for those not participating in additional boarding services.
8:30 pm: Bedtime snacks & lights out
Do I need to pack anything?
All dogs should arrive on a leash or slip lead. Please pack enough food for their entire stay. We do recommend packing an extra meal or two in case you are delayed in picking up. Meals should be in individual bags or a container with clear instructions. If you dog takes any medication pack that along with the material they take it with, cheese, peanut butter, etc. There is no need to pack bowls, blankets, beds, or toys from home. Our staff will place beds, blankets, and toys in your dogs kennel based on size, age, and chewing habits.
Can my dog get a bath and nail trim before going home?
Absolutely! You can add those services when you make your reservation. edit your existing reservation or let staff know at drop off. All baths are given the shift prior to your dog leaving. If you plan on picking up early, please let staff know via Paw Partner to ensure your dog gets their bath prior to their early pickup.
Can my dog get groomed while being boarded?
Yes! Your dog can be groomed during their stay. We are able to transport them from boarding to Parkside Pups for their spa day. We recommend scheduling their groom at the same time you schedule boarding to ensure your dog gets on the groom schedule. Our grooms are Tuesday-Friday and every other Saturday. While we recommend getting your dog groomed on their last day of their stay we understand schedules do not always align. Please speak with our staff prior to drop off to see if we are able to accommodate your dog on a different day than what the system has told you is available.

What is the difference between half day and full day?
Our half day includes up to 4 hours of play while a full day is anything over 4 hours of play.
Do I need to pack anything?
All dogs should arrive on a leash or slip lead. If your dog eats lunch please bring that in a small container or ziplock baggie labeled with their name. There is no need to pack anything else.
What happens if there is an altercation between my dog
and another dog?
At Parkside Pups, we strive to create a safe environment for dogs in our care. We understand that not every dog gets along with others and that each dog has a different personality. Our highly trained staff members know how to interpret body language in order to step in prior to an altercation occurring. If an altercation does occur, dogs are immediately separated, all dogs involved are assessed nose to tail for wounds, parents are notified following the altercation and a plan is established to setup the dogs involved for success during their next visit. We understand that sometimes dogs have a bad day or need a longer rest period during the day.

what happens now?
Please understand that a daycare environment is much different than being at home and can take time to get used to. Our staff will discuss options with you to set your dog up for success in the future. That could be coming back on a quieter day, working on small group socialization, or other types of training. Our staff will create a plan with you before your dog walks out the door!

How do I make an appointment?
Click on the ‘book now’ button at the top of the pageto be taken to our client database/scheduling system, Paw Partner. Once on Paw Partner, create an account or sign in. You will be able to choose the day, time and type of groom you want for your pup. You will also be able to add any additional services to make their groom “paws-itively” beautiful!
Do multiple dogs get groomed at the same time?
No, our groomer works one on one. Families are welcome to come together and be groomed together to lower stress
levels for the pups!
Do you work with shy dogs?
Our groomer will work with your shy/fearful pup and work to make them as comfortable as possible during their groom! Our groomer will communicate with you during the process and provide guidance to help build confidence for your dog at home.
